Sheepshead have started to show-- finally. Mostly in the river. Jetties is hit and miss. Some good speckled trout catches on live shrimp. Bonus bull reds while float rig fishing and Sheepshead fishing.

With warming water temperatures and steady tides, the redfish are in full feeding mode. Early mornings have been prime for topwater action, with Reds crushing Zara Spooks and MirrOlure Top Dogs over shallow flats. With warming water temperatures and steady tides, the redfish are in full feeding mode. Early mornings have been prime for topwater action, with Reds crushing Zara Spooks and MirrOlure Top Dogs over shallow flats. As the sun gets higher, we’ve been switching to paddle tails in gold, root beer, and new penny, rigged on 1/8 to 1/4 oz jigheads for sight-casting fish cruising the oyster bars and creek mouths.

The big black seabass bite has been very good for the month of February! A few good triggerfish and vermilion snapper have been caught too! Consistent when the wind lays down and we can get out!
