With recent rains, we've had a lot of freshwater input into our base system. A key for us has been focusing towards a higher salinity. Watch for your watercolor changes to key in on the salinity change. We have been able to pull out some really great trout this week, but do not be afraid to fish these dirty waters for your red fish and black drum where they are more apical to be in a brackish water.
For our trout croaker and soft plastic that put out a lot of sent such as gulp, am lures and others with artificial attractants on them have been very good.
Redfish have been good with cut mullet in mouths or back lakes.
Black drum have been scattered in potholes on flats. The typical bit of choice of dead shrimp on the bottom.
