Speckled trout have made a comeback in the bay area, and we are seeing a lot of overslots more consistently every day! Good eating meat in the box! They are eating live pinfish, shrimp, and white bait like they have never seen them before. Big black drums are showing up in good numbers on the bridges, and they are slamming the artificial and cut crabs. The snook and redfish are getting back to their normal spring patterns of eating cut bait, white bait, and pinfish! the bite at night is just as good, if not better, then the daytime bite when it starts to warm up 🎣

Recent trips have produced some quality snook and trout, and some Spanish mackerel are showing up also. We have been using artificial lures and live bait and doing very well. There are also some big redfish and huge snook cruising around the mangroves right now.

In like a lion out like a lamb, the month of March is certainly living up to its reputation. We have had water temperatures sore into the 80s, then right back down into the 60s with the numerous fronts we have had. Cooler water means deeper areas for the snook, trout, and redfish inshore and spawning sheepshead and snapper on our Tampa Bay rock piles. With some site fishing for Cobia on the calm days tomorrow we're heading out to the Gulf of America for a little bottom fishing and to see if the kingfish are here yet. Let's get you booked in for some unforgettable memories and another great Captain's experience.

Tons of snook, redfish, and trout. Fishing has been great in between these cold fronts. The drag-screaming kingfish should be showing up right around the corner! Tarpon season will be coming quick!

Live bait and artificial sea shads by Saltwater Assassin are getting it done on the trout, snook and redfish, and fiddler crabs are nailing the sheepshead.

We had a great trip Taylor!! He was a great captain! We caught LOTS of fish. Super knowledgeable and such a pleasure to be around. We will definitely be calling him when we come back to Florida again. Top notch experience! Caught mackerel, trout, groupers, Jack fish, lady fish, lizard fish, catfish and we saw a dolphin. Thank you for a great experience!

What can I say about this trip. Yes I'm sure we got a bit lucky, but Captain Jake got his own bait, put us on fish immediately and we had a blast. We caught 6 different species on light tackle from spanish mackerel, to catfish, to black tip sharks. It was already an amazing trip. Then we got the heavy tackle out and hooked into a hammerhead, more black tips, and the absolute icing on the cake was a giant 150 lb Tarpon. This was my dream, and Jake made it happen. I couldn't recommend him more. He is very knowledgeable, takes his profession very seriously and is fun and personable at the same time! Do not hesitate to pick captain Jake for your next trip

We had a wonderful time with Captain Andy. He was super friendly and put us on fish right away. This trip was my 9 year daughter's first trip and she was asking to extend the trip the first 30 minutes in. This was truly a family friendly experience. I would and defiantly recommend using Captain Andy again. Thank you Captain Andy for a wonderful time!!!!
