Redfish is going crazy in Galveston bay. Using live shrimp fish close to standing rocks off the ship channel. The Galveston Jetties holding lots of pan fish along with some trout and drum fish. Overall fishing is good in the Galveston complex.

Fishing has been great on the bite during mid and ending of tides. Keepers other than black drum have been a hit or miss. The schooling size reds are plentiful. Small trout running the shallows, larger trout are staying deep still along the channel. Fish have been hitting live and...

I continue to beat up on the red fish. The marsh has begun to fill back up. And the redfish are flooding in. We have been catching them with artificials and live shrimp. The trout bite has been slow for me. I just haven't been targeting them. Seems like we are having an early spring, water temperatures have already been in the upper 70 degrees. Wind will be the big issue going forward till June. This will only play into my hands, because I have bee catching fish in some very dirty water.

It was a windy day but Jonathan took us right to a honey-hole out of the wind. The rods and reels were ready to go and easy to use. We caught fish all day long and came home with a nice haul which Jonathan cleaned and bagged for us. He even directed us to a local restaurant that cooked up a few of our fresh filets for dinner. It was a great day from beginning to end!

We had great communication and helpful tips with Captain Lance's team from the moment we booked. He promised our crew of six LandLubbers that we’d be catching a bunch of fish on St. Patrick’s Day … and that’s exactly what we did! Our take on the day: some sheepshead, flounder, a bonnet-head shark, and the prize catch: a 35-inch redfish! Even Captain Lance was proud of that one – “about the biggest fish you’re ever going to catch with light tackle!” Then to finish things off, he expertly cleaned our fish … and offered some great tips on how to prepare them.
