About Your Trip

Get up bright and early to catch the plethora of fish feeding at sunrise with Captain Michael! Captain Michael will help you target Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder throughout your inshore bay and nearshore fishing experience.

Captain Michael’s 26’ skiff can host up to 4 people. He requires that you bring a Texas fishing license with a saltwater stamp, food and drinks (no glass), and an ice chest for your day's catch. Other than that, Captain Michael will cover the rest. He will provide quality rods and reels, artificial baits, all tackle, and ice for drinks. You can also purchase live bait at an additional price.

Be sure to listen to Captain Michael’s advice - he’ll take you where the fish are biting.

Captain Michael offers guided Galveston fishing charters for Speckled Trout, Redfish, Flounder, and Sharks.

He offers guided charters for wade fishing and drift fishing in the inshore Galveston Bays with live bait or artificial lures to catch Speckled Trout and Redfish and loves heading out of the Galveston Bay Complex for some nearshore shark action.

Jetty trips, kid trips, corporate or family oriented fishing trips are also popular with Captain Mike. With over 20 years of experience fishing the entire inshore Galveston Bay Complex, you and your group will have a fun and exciting trip.

The entire Galveston Bay Complex is well known for excellent inshore bay and nearshore fishing all year round. Galveston Bay is the largest estuary on the Texas Gulf Coast and is rightly considered one of the very best fisheries in Texas! Speckled Trout, Redfish, Flounder and Shark trips are very popular, and Captain Michael's excited to host you on his 2011 25 ft. Majek Extreme powered by a 2011 300hp 4 stroke Yamaha for a dry and safe day on the water. Captain Mike's boat is also loaded with top of the line electronics and all U.S. Coast Guard approved safety equipment.

Captain Michael is always professional and courteous to his guests and he prides himself on giving his best effort on every fishing trip. Catching fish is always goal number one, but he makes sure to build your trip around your personal fishing needs and, most importantly, he makes sure you enjoy your fishing experience. It doesn't matter if you are a young novice fisherman or an experienced saltwater angler, Captain Michael has a personalized trip waiting for you.

Light Tackle Fishing

Everything Else to Know

Snacks and drinks (no glass bottles), sunscreen, hat, proper clothing, ice chest. No black shoes please. Rods and reels, artificial baits and tackle, ice for drinks included.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Captain Mike's the best. I question his taste in music, though--ha ha. Seriously, though, he put us on the fish and got us to our limit right before storm rolled in which was especially impressive considering the two fools he had to coach all morning. Follow Mike's instruction and you will catch fish! We even caught a random 4ft gar. Mike knows that bay like the back of his hand and he will get you...

Captain Mike was absolutely phenomenal. From the first hour we were on the water, he had us on spots where we were already catching. His personality is friendly, helpful, and unfussy. We caught sheephead, redfish, trout, and too many other species to list. My advice? Book him ASAP!!!!!
