About Your Trip

Join Captain Traver for a productive day of inshore fishing on the legendary waters of Upper Galveston Bay, Trinity Bay, and East Bay. With over a decade of experience fishing these productive Texas estuaries, Captain Traver knows where to find fish throughout the year and will work hard to put you on a bite from the moment you leave the dock.

These bays are famous for their healthy populations of Redfish and Speckled Trout, which
are the primary targets on this trip. Depending on the season and conditions, anglers can expect to fish a variety of productive areas including shorelines, reefs, drains, flats, and deeper channels where these hard-fighting fish feed. When conditions line up, there is also the opportunity to add a Flounder or two to the day's catch, creating the possibility of a classic Texas inshore slam.

Whether you're an experienced angler looking to fill the cooler or a beginner hoping to catch your first inshore fish, Captain Traver will tailor the trip to your skill level and fishing goals. His approach focuses on putting clients in the best position to enjoy steady action while maximizing opportunities to bring home fresh fish for the table. These waters consistently produce quality catches, and Captain Traver takes pride in helping guests enjoy a successful day on the bay.

You'll fish aboard a 2017 23-foot Wellcraft center console equipped with a T-top for shade and comfort during your time on the water. The vessel provides a stable and comfortable platform for navigating the bays and reaching productive fishing grounds quickly and efficiently.

One of the highlights of fishing the Galveston Bay system is the opportunity to bring home some of Texas' finest table fare. Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder are all excellent eating, and Captain Traver works hard to help fill the box whenever conditions allow. There's nothing quite like enjoying a fresh fish dinner that you caught yourself earlier that day.

From calm morning runs across the bay to exciting battles with hard-fighting fish, every trip offers the chance to create lasting memories on the water. Whether you're fishing with friends, family, or introducing someone new to the sport, Captain Traver is committed to providing a fun, relaxed, and rewarding experience.

Book your trip today and come see why Upper Galveston Bay, Trinity Bay, and East Bay remain some of the most productive inshore fisheries on the Texas Gulf Coast. Let's go catch dinner!

My focus is to not only put you on fish but also provide a great time and experience. We will troll the rocks for redfish and sheepshead, hit some deeper reefs for some good trout as well as work some flats. during the summer months, we will throw a popping cork and live shrimp the winter months we will throw plastics and top waters.
