We hooked this Redfish by Picnic Table Point, fought it all the way to the Dam. Roughly a 15 minute battle. We weighed it at 22 pounds. It was the first 20 pound Redfish that was landed in my boat in about 6 years.

Fishing is good. We’re catching, and releasing rainbows in the 2-4 lb class on nymphs. The flows are clear and cold water downstream of Canyon Lake Dam. In the trophy trout section.

Really nice guy. Was willing to help out with anything you wanted. Even offered to fix dinner for me and my son without cost, and showed the hospitality one would expect. Were not a bunch of bids, but a few. Mario wasn't available early Friday, so we got out to the field a bit to late, but wanting to take care of his customer, he said we could come out the next morning at no charge to make up for getting us out later than usual the day before. He made sure we had mojo's and he would check on us about every hour. They also have skeet shooting. As a father, it's all about my son having fun, and he did.

James provided info and intel to private lands he had permission to dove hunt on. Everything went well. However evening hunt had very few birds flying (approx 10) and then the morning hunt the next day was bit more active with about 25 birds flying. Low bird activity was probably due to lateness in season and the recent mowing down of the sunflower fields. Would do it again, just need to go earlier in the season. The Captain Experience booking system was easy to use and their customer service was great.
