Calaveras Lake is one of the only places in the world where you can catch coastal Redfish in a freshwater environment. Texas Parks and Wildlife stocks this lake with Redfish seedlings to provide this unique, truly exciting experience.

On this 4 to 8-hour trip, Captain Travis will take you out into Lake Calaveras where you
can expect to target Carp, Flathead Catfish, Garfish, Hybrid Striped Bass, Largemouth Bass, Redfish, and Tilapia. With his 20+ years of experience, Captain Travis is sure to put you where the fish are biting.

To attract these picture-worthy fish you'll be using light tackle and artificial lures. Captain Travis is happy to demonstrate proper fundamentals for these techniques, and will even include the bait!

Captain Travis fishes aboard a 25’ El Pescador center console with a capacity for 4 people. Powered by a 150 HP Yamaha engine, this vessel is maneuverable and will get you where you need to be. It also includes a GPS, Fishfinder, Live Bait Well, and Ice Box to store your catches.

Captain Travis will provide all rods, reels, and tackle. All you need is a valid Texas fishing license as well as some food and drinks. These family-friendly trips can host up to 4 people, so make sure you bring some good company!
