Trout fishing remains HOT!!!
Lots of trout and redfish in in the channel and at the jetties. Best bait have been DSL in glow/chart bouncing off the bottom.

Redfish have been on fire lately. Best bite has been when the north wind blows the water out of the marsh and the fish come off the flats. Fishing should continue to remain hot with the weather conditions remaining the same for the foreseeable future.

Trout fishing has been good with most coming off plastics and catch 2000. Redfish are in the marsh over shell and off the points. The birds are starting to work in the mornings in Sabine Lake. Look for the bird action to really turn on when we get a good front that empties the marshes and pushes the shrimp out.

    Tommy is the man! We fished the tail end of a storm today in not ideal conditions and he put me on em! We stacked up a limit of drum, tons of sheepshead, and two big bull reds in a half day trip (on what he described as an “off day” for Calcasieu. I can only imagine what an “on day” looks like…)

    My wife and I had the honor of spending the day fishing with Captain Chris. This was by far the best fishing charter that we have been in. Chris’ experience level showed as he constantly put us on fish all day. We were is busy catching fish we did not even eat lunch! We came very close to limiting out on several species of fish. Chris even showed us tips in cleaning the fish and preparing them. If you are looking for a guide in this area, you will be greatly pleased with Captain Chris!

    Good guide, knows where the fish are, would have like to see tactical changes made for different species or when the bit slowed down. I’d like to see a variety in the arsenal you know. That’s just me being my hardcore fishing self. My wife loved it because we didn’t have to clean or fuel our boat. I agree it’s nice just being a paying customer. The hard thing for me and being very expirienced is you expect everyone to be like you. Tommy did us right and I appreciate his hard work. I’d use Tommy again and would recommend Tommy to others
