False Albacore, Redfish, Striped Bass
After The Big Rains!!!!
Inshore bite was bad just for a couple of days after the end of August monsoonal rains.... Had a few catches of blue cats and bass down the bay.... The bite and the salt water bounced back very quick tho and it’s been strong since..actually we’ve had no rain since that last week of August!!! The water is nice and salty now!! Sheepsheads showed up a lil early when the salt water came back. Some biggins too!!!! A large nice variety of fish-flounder, speckle trout, black and red drum etc...Still a lot of different fish in the bays. Out on the 4 hour fishing trips we offer its a catch a minute!! Fast action for sure!

False Albacore
We have been into a great variety of fish on recent trips. We have gotten into Mahi-mahi, Bonita, Sharks, grouper, snapper, often times on the same trip! Even near-shore has been fun with plenty of Spanish Mackerel and grunts for the kids!

False Albacore
Great bass fishing continues with a big push of false albacore and bonito in local waters in the last week. We have started to have shorter fishable windows due to fall weather, but with plenty of bait and warm water temps, we have a lot of fishing left to do.

False Albacore, Mahi Mahi, Tripletail
This week the Triggerfish bite has been slow! Trolling has produced Bonita and some small wahoo! We have been able to locate the Mahi several times for a good solid bite! A few triple tail keepers have made it to the ice, as well as a few Almaco Jacks

False Albacore
Great fishing for flounder, Red drum, Spanish mackerel, false albies (fly fish opportunities) and more..this is the beginning of great fall fishing. A wind of change is blowing in and all are excited for great fall fishing. Flounder fishing is great and anglers are able to keep some now through the end of September.

Amberjack, Grunt, False Albacore
Late summer/early fall fishing is starting to heat up. Getting a weather window to make the trip out has been a challenge. However, when able to get offshore, we are catching a variety of species with the second half of trigger fish season open and now Amberjack opening back, I expect a lot of great offshore catches over the next few weeks. Deep drop fishing for vermillion snapper, porgies, and various grouper species has been on fire. For those who like our top water action, the waters have been boiling with skipjacks and Mahi. Now is the time to get out there and catch them up before they move out to their winter waters.

False Albacore, Mahi Mahi
Late July saw an increase in the Mahi fishing with larger fish in better numbers. In typical cycles the fishing got harder on the full moon but should recover as the moon subsides. The tunas have arrived but so have the sharks that follow the tuna schools. If you ever wanted to catch a larger shark Thor next moths are the best! On the reef the snappers are still chewing as the spawns come to a close.

False Albacore, Wahoo
Fishing been great. The wahoos are finally showing up. Come on let's go fishing
Fishing has been really hard this week, it's the last week of snapper season and the rain showers have been coming in and out messing up the water temp! Trolling is slow right now, the wahoo are biting better than the mahi from deeper in the column ! Bottom fishing is ok but using Bonita for bait is a bad idea right now because there have been a lot of Bonita caught and a lot of folks are slamming the water with it so the snapper won't touch it! Cigar minnows cut and squid strips seem to be the go to! Triggerfish are everywhere so we are looking forward to the second half or trigger season opening Monday
