Our Pelagic Angler Expertise is in play as We target hogfish year round, but it’s best from November to May as it gets more difficult to catch them consistently during the summer months due to water temperatures. Our 1/2 day and 3/4 day charters are perfect for getting on great Hogfish action out in the Gulf of Mexico, due in part to the relative closeness of the fishing grounds. Here’s the FWC breakdown for Hog Snapper. Expect a ton of action on these snapper fishing charters. The best part of fishing for the hog snapper is the challenge of getting them to bite. They have very large mouths, but only pick at the bait, making them hard to hook. Once you do hook one however, you will know by the telltale way they fight, extremely fast tail beats on the line and drag pulling as they look for a rock crevice to find safety in. Considered one of, if not the best, eating of the snapper species. We Deliver the Results Exceed Expectations!!

It's been a windy few weeks with multiple cold fronts pushing through. Which has gave way to some excellent patch reef fishing . Many keeper mutton's have moved shallow with some being caught over 18 pounds in less then 17 ft of water . Not to mention decent yellowtails , red grouper , lane snappers ,mackerels and more . On the inshore side bait has been thick giving way to many great opportunities for tarpon snook , and plus sized mangrove snappers . Plenty of action to be had !

Fishing down here in South Padre Island has been steady. We've been concentrating on mangrove snappers lately. They are fantastic eating and are very plentiful. The wind has been blowing quite hard down here so I've been in the ship channel quite a bit staying out of the wind. When the wind dies down, I'm able to sneak offshore. Last Saturday we had a beautiful day. I ran 6 miles offshore and we landed about 75 red snapper, quite a few short fish, being that it is towards the end of the season, but the action bite was fantastic. Caught one really nice cobia and had a couple others on that broke off. For duck hunting with the extreme warm temperatures all over the country the ducks have really not shown up yet. Minnesota is finally starting to freeze at night. I know Colorado has got snow everywhere so the duck should be on their way soon. Speaking of ducks for you birders, we have beautiful Roseate spoonbill gathering for picture perfect photos. The dolphin enthusiasts, we have plenty of playful dolphins on view each boat ride.

Red snapper are still open on the weekends for the months of October and November on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. During the week we were able to keep Vermilion snapper, Spanish mackerel, King mackerel, and the bite has been very consistent. Book your trip while you can, life's too short not to go fishing!

Bottom fishing continues to be good when the weather lets us get out. It looks like the kingfish may be gone now in our waters.

It's fall and pumpkins are everywhere, by pumpkins I mean redfish. Early in the The fall season while the water still warm live baits work best as the water cools cut baits rule. Also , as the water cools red snapper Move closer to shore, locals LY's . I prefer live and fresh dead Sardines. And threadfin.

Fishing had been hot up to that hurricane we to west of us. We had a ton of rain and rough seas which really dirtied up the Gulf and bite was pretty tough. Last two days seem to be trending in our favor. Been booking and running trips everyday and into November. Snappers open Fri Sat Sun thru Thanksgiving. I've got the big Sows located and they are hungry!!
