A steady school of sheepshead and redfish have been biting out by the jetties. We are catching limits of beautiful size sheepshead and chasing schools of big ole' bull redfish. I'm finding schools of fish using Garmin live scope. Live shrimp dropped into their face and you've got a bite! I am crushing the big sheep head. They finally showed up an SPID give me a call if you wanna go catching not fishing.

Warming water has heated up pre-spring fishing With the approach of springtime coming, the fish have been on the move on this warming trend just two weeks ago we were still fixed and a solid winter pattern with excellent catches on hogfish grouper and snapper at winter depth of 45 to 55 feet. There's literally low tides and high skies made for some nice sight fishing opportunities in shore. For some bruiser size cobia When the water rises after these low morning tides The snook and redfish have been to target in the afternoon Using live greenbacks Speckled chop fishing has kept everything going all winter long with greenbacks and shrimp plenty of keeper trout may December and January a big hit with clients that wanted to keep fish. Well, it seems like spring is right around the corner and we should get into some of our best fishing of the year. Let's get you booked in for another great Captains experience

Fishing has been consistently good for Redfish and Sheepshead, with a grab bag of other species. Black Drum, Seatrout, Jacks and Mangrove Snappers have all been in the mix. If the weather stays warm, expect Snook and Tarpon action to heat up quick!

The past week has been a decent one. Catching both speckled trout and redfish on soft plastics. Actually limited on speckled trout on every am trip last week on soft plastics. Larger swim baits have been my go too. Darker and natural mullet colors are both producing strikes. The tides are extremely low in the morning and fluxing in hard towards the afternoon. Catching redfish on the windier days especially in the afternoon as the tides push in. Schools of black drum are popping up in deeper water transitions. Expect the bite to remain solid as long as weather remains stable.

Fishing report from Austin N. in Jacksonville, Florida Book a trip with Captain Austin here.

As February rolls in, the warming trend is beginning to take effect in Jacksonville, pushing water temperatures up and signaling transitions in fish behavior. With air temperatures creeping into the low 80s°F, anglers should expect an uptick in activity across inshore, nearshore, and offshore waters. Inshore Fishing Redfish – Sight fishing for redfish remains strong, especially on the flood tides in the grass and during the low tide around mud flats. With the water clearing up due to cooler temperatures, a stealthy approach and finesse presentations (like soft plastics or live shrimp) are key. As the water warms, expect more redfish moving toward deeper structure and docks.

Fishing report from Hank V. in Seminole, Florida

Took a short trip out to the reef and although the water was cold, the bite was hot! Fishing is great over here, even in the winter - hit us up! Found the Flounder last week not far off the beaches. They were eating cut bait AND soft plastics. The winds kept us inside the intracoastal, but we still got some action in the protected waters. Took a nice couple on a half day trip and landed some nice Mango Snapper AND a kicker Tripletail.

Redfish continue to steal the spot light. As the warm weather continues to heat up our waters the longer the fish are staying active.
