Captain Jason grew up fishing….from bass in the fresh waters of Central Florida to Redfish, Trout, Cobia and Sharks in the salt water of Cedar Key, he loves being on the water. He loves sharing what he has learned with others. He feels blessed to have been able to enjoy the outdoors and loves sharing that with others. He loves seeing the excitement of people catching fish and enjoying the outdoors.

Since he was a boy, Cedar Key has held
a special place in his heart; from fishing off the Cedar Key pier as a child with his grandparents and family to putting his own family on his boat as a young man, he has always loved the excitement-never knowing what that next cast may bring. Jason loves sharing his love of fishing with others. He enjoys seeing their excitement when they hook into that fish and put it in the boat. It is truly a passion for him to help others experience what he has been blessed to experience his whole life….the outdoors.

“One More Cast” is one of his favorite sayings. It is always about the unknown of what that next cast holds, it could hold the fish of a lifetime or it could hold our thoughts captive so you reel in and make “one more cast”.

What makes you different from other guides?
I’m pretty laid back. I like teaching people. I like seeing kids get fired up about fishing. But I can also switch gears, if I’ve got expert fishermen on the boat then I just let them fish. I don’t need to do much teaching. You really have to adapt to any situation and custoner knowledge.

He knew the right baits, had several rods rigged for different fish and different presentations for fishing. Could not ask for more!
