Welcome aboard! I'm Capt Josh Zachman, a deep-sea fishing guide with a wealth of experience and a formal education in Fisheries Science. My career has taken me to the waters of six continents and over 30 countries, where I've honed my expertise in the art and science of offshore angling.

While I've had the privilege of pursuing trophy catches in some of the world's most breathtaking locations, my true passion lies in sharing this knowledge and excitement with others. Whether you're an experienced angler seeking new challenges or a novice eager to learn the ropes, I take great pleasure in guiding individuals of all skill levels towards memorable and successful fishing experiences.

One aspect of my work that brings me particular joy is introducing kids to the wonders of fishing. There's something magical about witnessing their excitement as they reel in their first big catch or learn how to tie their first fishing knot. It's these moments that truly make every expedition unforgettable.

On my boat, I strive to cultivate an environment that feels less like a guided expedition and more like a day out with friends. With my expertise in fishing and a genuine passion for the sport, I aim to blend professionalism with a laid-back atmosphere, where clients feel at ease and excited to cast their lines. Whether it's swapping stories about past catches, sharing tips and tricks, or simply enjoying the serenity of the open water, I ensure that every moment on board is filled with camaraderie and laughter. Together, we create memories that extend beyond the thrill of the catch, forging bonds that make every trip feel like a reunion among friends.

How did you get started guiding?

After years of running boats for other people I decided I wanted to go out on my own I spent a winter eating ramen and living in an old camper while building my first charter boat! That was over a decade ago and I don’t regret it one bit

What makes you different from other guides?

On my boat I like to be part of the action, I like joking with my clients and cheering them on, I’m not a grumpy captan sitting up on the fly bridge barking orders at my mate I’m down right along side ya in the action!

We had a great time fishing with Joshua. The sunrise ride out was perfect. In spite of it being a little windy, the day was all we could ask for. An opportunity to check out of this crazy world, come into direction connection with your maker and enjoy fishing, like it was meant to be. Josh got us on fish early and we experienced a healthy haul of snapper. We caught a couple strawberry grouper and a king and a half. Can't out fish the shark.
