Experience the ultimate Gulf offshore fishing trip with a full day dedicated to both bottom fishing and high-speed trolling action. After an exciting run offshore aboard our federally permitted charter boat, we’ll head to productive offshore reefs and structure to target hard-fighting red snapper and other quality reef fish in federal waters.

Once the cooler starts filling up, we’ll shift gears and spend the rest of the trip trolling bluewater areas for some of the Gulf’s most exciting pelagic species. Expect explosive strikes, screaming drags, and nonstop excitement as we hunt fast-moving offshore predators.

Target species include:

Red snapper, kingfish, mahi mahi, blackfin tuna, sailfish, mangrove snapper, amberjack, and more.

With 8 full hours on the water, this trip gives us the time to fish farther offshore, cover more ground, and maximize your chances at both great eating fish and trophy pelagic action. Perfect for anglers looking for a true offshore adventure out of South Padre Island.

Welcome aboard! I'm Capt Josh Zachman, a deep-sea fishing guide with a wealth of experience and a formal education in Fisheries Science. My career has taken me to the waters of six continents and over 30 countries, where I've honed my expertise in the art and science of offshore angling.

While I've had the privilege of pursuing trophy catches in some of the world's most breathtaking locations, my true passion lies in sharing this knowledge and excitement with others. Whether you're an experienced angler seeking new challenges or a novice eager to learn the ropes, I take great pleasure in guiding individuals of all skill levels towards memorable and successful fishing experiences.

One aspect of my work that brings me particular joy is introducing kids to the wonders of fishing. How did you get started guiding?

After years of running boats for other people I decided I wanted to go out on my own I spent a winter eating ramen and living in an old camper while building my first charter boat! That was over a decade ago and I don’t regret it one bit

What makes you different from other guides?

On my boat I like to be part of the action, I like joking with my clients and cheering them on, I’m not a grumpy captan sitting up on the fly bridge barking orders at my mate I’m down right along side ya in the action!

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

We had a great time fishing with Joshua. The sunrise ride out was perfect. In spite of it being a little windy, the day was all we could ask for. An opportunity to check out of this crazy world, come into direction connection with your maker and enjoy fishing, like it was meant to be. Josh got us on fish early and we experienced a healthy haul of snapper. We caught a couple strawberry grouper and a king and a half. Can't out fish the shark.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
