Family-friendly inshore fishing guide based on the Texas Coastal Bend. I’m Captain Justin, a full-time fishing guide offering private bay fishing charters in Rockport, Aransas Pass, Port Aransas, Ingleside, and the Corpus Christi area.

I’ve had a passion for fishing since I was a small child. Fishing has always been more than just catching fish to me — it has been a way to escape everyday life and find peace on the water. Even today, every sunrise across the bay reminds me why I love what I do. The challenge of inshore fishing, learning fish behavior, tides, weather, and seasonal patterns keeps me driven every single day.

I grew up freshwater fishing, but many of those same techniques carried over when I started learning the Texas coast. The rest came from countless hours on the water, learning the bays, marshes, flats, and back lakes mostly on my own. Over time, I earned my United States Coast Guard Captain’s License and started guiding from my 18-foot Freedom flats boat.

My goal is simple — provide a laid-back, fun, and memorable fishing experience for anglers of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re introducing your kids to fishing for the first time or you’re an experienced angler looking to chase trophy speckled trout and redfish on the flats, I’ll do everything I can to help make your trip successful and enjoyable.

We fish the shallow bays, grass flats, channels, marsh drains, and backwater areas surrounding Rockport, Aransas Pass, Port Aransas, Ingleside, and Corpus Christi, Texas. Depending on conditions and the season, we use live shrimp, popping corks, artificial lures, cut bait, and sight-casting techniques to target fish year-round.

All tackle, bait, rods, reels, fish cleaning, and drinks are provided on every trip. My focus is keeping things simple, stress-free, and fun while helping people experience some of the best inshore fishing the Texas coast has to offer.

I was born in Houston, Texas and graduated from Alvin High School. Before becoming a full-time fishing guide, I worked in the landscape irrigation industry for over 15 years. I spent years as a foreman, crew leader, and owner of my own irrigation company designing and installing irrigation systems for commercial and residential properties. Hard work and long hours were something I was used to, but deep down I knew fishing was where my heart truly belonged.

In May of 2020, I started my YouTube channel simply as a hobby to help other anglers catch more fish through fishing reports, tutorials, and tips about the Texas coast. Over time, I realized guiding was what I was truly called to do. Leaving my full-time career to become a full-time fishing guide was one of the biggest leaps of faith I’ve ever taken, but it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life.

I named my business after my sobriety journey. Since September of 2017, living clean and sober has completely changed my life and given me a new appreciation for faith, family, peace, and purpose. Fishing became more than a hobby — it became a way of life and a blessing I now get to share with others every day on the water.

I believe fishing is about more than just catching limits. It’s about making memories, enjoying nature, teaching others, and spending quality time with family and friends. Some of the best moments happen between bites — watching dolphins swim by, seeing a child catch their first redfish, or simply enjoying a calm morning on the Texas coast.
