This artificial lure fishing trip is designed for anglers who want to experience shallow-water inshore fishing across the Texas Coastal Bend. Fish the productive flats, shorelines, grass beds, reefs, channels, and back-bay waters around Rockport, Aransas Pass, Port Aransas, Ingleside, and Corpus Christi.

The primary targets are Redfish and Speckled Trout, with opportunities for Black Drum and other inshore species depending on the season and conditions.

This trip focuses on fishing artificial lures rather than sitting over bait. You'll spend the day casting and working productive water while learning how to locate fish based on tides, wind, water movement, structure, depth, and seasonal patterns.

Depending on conditions, techniques may include drifting grass flats, working shorelines and reefs, casting into potholes and drains, or targeting fish around shallow-water structure.

This trip is best suited for anglers who already have experience casting and fishing artificial lures. Because artificial anglers often have specific equipment and lure preferences, please bring your own rods, reels, and artificial lures for this trip.

Fishing locations are selected based on current conditions and where the fish have been most productive. Trips may take place throughout the Rockport, Aransas Pass, Port Aransas, Ingleside, and Corpus Christi area.

Enjoy a fun, relaxed inshore fishing trip along the Texas Coastal Bend, fishing the productive bays and waters around Rockport, Aransas Pass, Port Aransas, Ingleside, and Corpus Christi.

These trips are great for families, kids, beginners, and experienced anglers looking to spend a day on the water. Depending on the season and current fishing conditions, you’ll target species such as redfish, speckled trout, black drum, and mangrove snapper.

Most trips use live bait or cut bait with proven techniques including Carolina rigs, popping corks, and freelining. Rods, reels, tackle, and bait are provided for regular bait-fishing trips. Experienced anglers who would like to fish artificial lures are welcome to do so, but should bring their own rods, reels, and lures.

You’ll fish from an 18-foot shallow-water flats boat that is well suited for exploring the bays, flats, reefs, shorelines, and channels of the Texas Coastal Bend.

Whether you're introducing your kids to fishing, planning a family outing, or simply looking for a productive day on the water, each trip is tailored to the experience level of the group and the fishing conditions that day.

Fish cleaning is included at the end of the trip, so all you need to do is show up ready to fish and enjoy your time on the Texas coast.

Everything Else to Know

On this trip (artificial lures) you will need to bring your own artificial set ups including rod, reels and lures. I do offer fully furnished bait trips as well. I also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip. Do not bring coolers or big bulky items onboard. I have one cooler for fish and one cooler for water and Gatorade that I provide. No alcohol is allowed.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
