Guided by Joaquin Pena
Inshore
Captain Joaquin grew up fishing with his family and friends from an early age. It quickly became his passion, and soon he was off on the water by himself.
He attributes his time fishing to his patience, persistence, and analytical mindset which coincidentally are some of the reasons he makes such a great guide. Captain Joaquin is a well seasoned fisherman, and is eager to teach the knowledge he's acquired over a lifetime of fishing nearly every day.
Whether you're looking for a family trip, a personal trip, first time trip, or millionth time trip, Captain Joaquin is your guy.

CPT Joaquin is a great guide. His warm personality and tremendous knowledge of the local water makes for a great trip. I will certainly fish with CPT Joaquin again as soon as possible.

We had a great time fishing with you. We didn't catch as many as we would have liked, but my sons had a great time with you. We look forward to our next trip with you.

Joaquin is amazing. A wealth of knowledge for those beginners who are wanting to learn like myself. 10/10 and I will definitely be fishing with him again.

Capt Joaquin’s trip was amazing. I wish we could give him 6 stars! He had a lot of communication coming up to the trip, sent us directions to the pick up spot, and confirmed our plans in advance! He told great stories, was clear about his rules (on a boat with no sides). He was hilarious with a great sense of humor. We got 4 fish (2 trout and 2 Reds) but they were the biggest fish we caught in SoPadre! I highly recommend Capt Joaquin! …

We had a great day fishing with Captain Joaquin. He showed us the techniques we needed to use and was able to put us on the fish. Highly recommended.
