About Your Trip

Spend five hours on the water with Joaquin and experience the productive bay systems around Port Isabel, Texas. This inshore fishing trip is a great way to explore these rich coastal waters while targeting some of the most popular game fish on the Texas coast.

Depending on conditions, you’ll be fishing productive areas where redfish, speckled trout, flounder, and other inshore species are commonly found. Joaquin uses his local knowledge of tides, wind, and seasonal
patterns to choose the best locations for the day, focusing on active water where fish are feeding.

A variety of techniques may be used throughout the trip, including drift fishing with live bait or artificial lures. These methods allow anglers to cover water efficiently while presenting bait naturally through channels, flats, and shoreline structure where fish are actively moving with the tide.

For those looking for a more immersive experience, wading trips are also available upon request. Wading allows anglers to get right into the shallow flats where fish are often feeding in clear, skinny water. If you choose to wade, you’ll need to bring appropriate wading gear, while all other fishing equipment will be provided by Joaquin.

This trip is designed to be both productive and relaxing, offering a chance to step away from daily stress and enjoy the calm, scenic waters of Port Isabel. Whether you're an experienced angler or new to bay fishing, Joaquin provides a straightforward, enjoyable experience focused on time on the water and steady inshore action.

All rods, reels, tackle, and bait are provided. Just bring your wading gear if needed, along with your snacks, drinks, and a Texas fishing license, and get ready for a refreshing day fishing the Port Isabel bays.

Capt Joaquin’s trip was amazing. I wish we could give him 6 stars! He had a lot of communication coming up to the trip, sent us directions to the pick up spot, and confirmed our plans in advance! He told great stories, was clear about his rules (on a boat with no sides). He was hilarious with a great sense of humor. We got 4 fish (2 trout and 2 Reds) but they were the biggest fish we caught in SoPadre! I highly recommend Capt Joaquin!
