First of all, Mike wasn't our guide, and he was MIA while we were trying to get in touch with him during our debacle. Read below.

—Booked a Father’s Day trip several weeks ago, and we called to confirm the details the evening before.
—Showed up at 545 for our 6am trip only to find we’d been double booked, so they rescheduled us to later in the day…this was WELL AFTER we tried to call/text multiple times to reschedule. We were talking with Josh at the marina, and he was extremely rude and unhelpful.
—we finally get out in the water and maybe do an hour of fishing (we paid for 4 h) because our guide ran out of bait, although he was very nice, he was unprepared for this trip
— this situation could’ve been handled in a MUCH better way because the lack of communication before and during the trip was insane.
—Captain Experiences offered a discount for the inconvenience, but I still do not recommend this booking platform OR fish n tale’s company for fishing charters in PCB.

Please take your money elsewhere, these trips are not cheap and deserve to be memorable…..in a good way!!!!

First off this was a mess our first booking got transfered to another captain then the boat broke down and we had to decide to use a bigger boat and fish for something we didn't want so we decided to wait and see if the boat would get fixed and 3 days later we was scheduled to. We arrived about 5:15am and our captain showed up at 6 he wasn't ready he didn't greet us and he was unhappy due to over booking another crew the same time as ours. I called him a second time and he finally told us where he was but was an ass right off the bat didn't want to explain anything to us where to put our drinks or anything. He asked us if we wanted live bait we wasn't sure but we went and got live bait but he didn't seem happy about it. The trip out was sketchy the whole time he was rigging poles instead of driving the boat a couple times we wasn't sure if we was going to crack on the sand or run in to another boat. After getting out there 1 hr 20 minutes later he did get us on some fish but it took him a while before apologizing for being in a bad mood and the trip got better once he lighted up a bit. We did enjoy catching fish but 2hrs and 40 minutes of a 4 hr trip was just driving.we wont ever book or use the.captains experience to book again josh Riley was our captain and wouldn't want anyone to go through this especially on their first fishing trip as this was ours.

They had very good communication with us about the trip and updates. Due to the weather we had to reschedule which was a seamless process. Made sure that we still had a good time and caught fish, even though we couldn’t leave the bay. Went to a lot of spots throughout the bay to target a variety of species. Overall highly recommend.

I want to be honest in this review. we had booked a trip with Mike, and was informed a day before the trip that it would not be with Mike, but it would be with another captain.
the trip was fine. it wasnt great. it wasnt bad. we had nearly a half hour boat ride to get to the spot he wanted to fish and a half hour boat ride to get back. so right there we lost 25% of our time to fish, only leaving 3 hours. we did not fish any other spots. stayed in one place. we caught about a half a dozen fish that we could keep and clean.

there were 6 of us total. 3 dads and 3 boys. the price before any type of tip was $875. Naturally we left a tip bringing the total to $1000. it was a fine trip, but unfortunately, i have to say it was not worth $1000 to fish for three hours off of the Jetty's at shell island. We had a decent time, but it was a little under-whelming.
