Captain Shawn carries over 20 years of experience fishing the Galveston Bay Complex onto his 2007 Robalo with twin 250 Yamaha outboards. His experience has led to success fishing competitively and over 35 tournament wins. Captain Shawn will teach you how to catch some trophy sized fish, while also having wild amounts of fun.

Although jetty and deep water structure fishing within Galveston Bay are Captain Shawn's forte, he can still wade a shoreline with artificial, fish the spoils along the channel, or drift the midbay reefs. No matter what sort of fishing trip you are after, you will be glad that Captain Shawn is the captain. Even better, all tackle (including rods, reels, lures, and bait) and fuel are furnished for all trips at no extra charge.

Oh, man, let me tell you about this fishing charter in Galveston. If you want an adventure on the high seas that rivals Moby Dick without the depressing ending, book a trip with Captain Sean and his first mate Abbie. These folks know their stuff.

So, we start the day with my stepdad, bless his heart, hooking a stingray. Yeah, you read that right. He thought he was reeling in a sea monster. The water was choppy, and I was starting to think this was gonna be a long day of nothing but stories about the one that got away. But Captain Sean, the Gandalf of the Gulf, says, "Hold my beer," and finds us the perfect spot.

The man’s a fish whisperer. I don't know how he does it. One minute, we’re fighting the waves, thinking we’re gonna spend the day swapping sea shanties, and the next, we’re reeling in trout like it’s a fish buffet. Captain Sean knows every nook and cranny of that ocean like it’s his backyard.

And let’s not forget Abbie, the deckhand. She’s like the ninja of fishing. You need a new bait? She’s got it before you even ask. Tangled line? She’s on it. The only thing she can’t do is make your stepdad catch anything other than weird sea creatures.

By the end of the trip, we had caught our limit. We were tired, sunburned, and grinning like idiots. It was one of those days you remember forever. If you’re looking for a fishing trip that’ll make you feel like you’re in a Hemingway novel, do yourself a favor and book with Captain Sean and Abbie. Five stars aren’t enough for these legends.

So this definitely was not the experience we were hoping to have. Our Captain showed up late it very much appeared that he was hungover and or he just didn't have any desire to be there. Everybody has their bad days but speaking as a former hunting and fishing guide he had no interest in doing his job. If I wanted to sit on a boat and catch catfish I could have stayed home. He...
