Captain Brian offers surf and beachfront fishing around the Galveston area for Tarpon, Drum, Ling (Cobia), and large (Bull) redfish. You will be fishing out of the beachfront and surrounding bays including the Galveston jetties and San Luis Pass. You can either fish for 6 hours (a half-day) or 8 hours (a full day) depending on how much fishing you want to do. Captain Brian and his crew will provide rods, reels, and artificial lures. You can purchase live bait for an additional price. On this trip, you'll choose between an 8-hour or 12-hour deep sea excursion between 40 and 80 miles off the shore of Galveston. On the 8-hour trip, we'll head about 40 miles offshore targeting red snapper, kingfish, mangrove snappers, triggerfish, Spanish mackerel, and mahi mahi. On the 12-hour trip, we will be between 70 to 80 miles offshore (blue water) red snapper, kingfish, wahoo, tuna, mahi mahi grouper, amberjack, and always a possibility of a sailfish. We will meet at a predetermined location that is best for you and provides quick access to fishing. I provide the rods, reels, tackle and bait for the day. I just need you to bring your drinks and snacks in a small cooler and to make sure everyone has a valid fishing license. Do we fish if it’s raining or windy? Safety is a priority. If there are severe storms in the area or if the wind is out of control, I’ll suggest we delay or try to reschedule the trip. There’s no sense in going out and being uncomfortable, and I will never put us in danger. But if it’s just a little rain, let’s go – the fish are already wet! We will fish from my 24’ Sea Pro with Suzuki 200 hp engine to get there fast, using live bait most days; we will fish reefs, jetties or other structure around Galveston Bay.
