About Your Trip

Enjoy the sites of the large ships coming in and out of the channel and watch the waves crash against the rocks at the jetties while you fish. Watch the dolphins swimming in the bay as we head out to our destination. On this trip, we will fish the bay and jetties which is just a 15 min ride out.
We offer a 4 Hr. or a 6 Hr. trip, mornings or afternoon.
We will set y'all up with light to medium tackle to fish for Redfish, Pompano (Ocean fish), Sheepshead, Trout, Bull Reds, Spanish Mackerel, Black Drum, Flounder (in Season Only), Shark and Jack Crevalle.

Your Captain, Chris, has been fishing his whole life from the Great Lakes in Ohio to the Bay and offshore fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. Chris first learned how to freshwater fish from his dad and grandpa while in Ohio, until they moved down to Brownsville, where he picked up his favorite hobby, saltwater fishing. Chris gained not only the knowledge of fishing from his dad but also the passion to teach others, so they can find true joy in fishing as he does. Captain Chris has continued that tradition by teaching his three daughters and his two grandchildren how to fish and be a responsible conservationist. He started out with a lifelong dream of becoming a fishing guide and has achieved that dream! He loves putting people on fish and seeing the joy of catching their 1st fish or the 100th fish! We are a small charter that prides itself on putting customers first and treating everyone that steps on our boats as family.

The biggest fish I have ever caught was a 95" Scalloped Hammerhead Shark in the Gulf of Mexico. He was way too big to get on the boat and 5" too short to keep!

I do a fish fry once a year when we have a large party at the house. Other than that, normally just make burgers on the grill.

Don't really watch sports that much unless it is fishing, lol!

What’s your drink of choice?

My drink of choice is Coke or Pepsi.

What was your last halloween costume?

Haven't had one of those since I was a kid. I think the last one I had one was a racecar driver. Which is another passion of mine, I have raced dirt track cars for over 20 years off and on.

What do you want for Christmas this year?

More fishing equipment or as my wife calls them, 'toys' lol.

How did you get started guiding?

Have always wanted to even when I was a kid. I had a chance to take the leap and start my own business a couple of years ago. So, I took this opportunity to live my dream and have my ideal dream job.

What makes you different from other guides?

I don't know about different but to me it's more of a passion than a job to me. For me it's watching the pure excitement of someone catching their 1st fish, biggest fish or even the 100th fish. To me a guide should be more about the passion of taking customers fishing and teaching the young and old anglers the importance conservation as well as some fishing tips. When you step on my boat, you're a guest, but when you step back off the boat your family. It's all about making memories.

Everything Else to Know

Everyone 17 or older MUST have a valid Fishing License from the State of Texas for Saltwater or All-water fishing.
Daily Medication, if you take meds several times a day please be sure to pack those.
Motion Sickness Preventative: Please consult your doctor. There are over the counter medications that can be purchased but please speak with your doctor.
Small cooler for drinks and food. No glass or red colored food and absolutely no bananas.
Small cooler for any fish that is caught. we will filet and bag it.
Sun Protection: Sun screen, hats with a tie to secure around your neck, also sunglasses make sure to get the straps to keep them around your neck. Long sleeve fishing shirts, hand towels and possible rain gear. Cooling towels and a neck gaiter.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account.

If the weather doesn’t cooperate you’ll be covered by our 100% weather guarantee and you won’t lose your deposit.

We vet our guides to make sure they are the best of the best. We want guides who not only put you on 'em, but show you a great time, keep you safe, and give you a memorable experience with your group.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the case of inclement weather, our guides will make the call and we'll work with you to reschedule your trip or issue a credit for the full deposit of the trip to be used on any of our trips across the country. Your safety is our top concern.

Each trip’s price is set by the guide and factors in all of their costs. A big determinant of cost is often the type of boat and associated fuel costs, but other guide costs include leases, marina / slip fees, bait costs, and the cost to provide and maintain all of the gear you’ll need on your trip.
