Captain Alex grew up in Washington State, where he honed his skills fishing for salmon, rockfish, halibut, lingcod, and trout using both artificial lures and fly gear. Summers were spent in Hawaii, where he fished every single day. In high school, Alex’s family relocated to Central Florida, where he quickly fell in love with Florida fishing using light tackle and fly gear. Although he has extensive offshore experience, his true passion lies in inshore fishing.

How did you get started guiding?

I have worked in the fishing industry since high school and it felt like the natural progression considering I spend just about every bit of free time on the water!

What makes you different from other guides?

I am extremely passionate about being on the water and enjoy it thoroughly. I understand others may not always have the exact same passion but want to catch fish. I work hard to translate my knowledge and skills into a comfortable, fun and productive day on the water for my guests!
