Depending on conditions, you may be fishing Copano, St. Charles, Redfish, Aransas, Mesquite, San Antonio, or South Bay, each offering
its own unique structure and bite patterns. These waters are especially well known for producing monster redfish, trophy speckled trout, and solid flounder, making them the primary focus of most trips with Justin.
Redfish are often found cruising shallow flats, pushing wakes along shorelines, or staging around cuts and drains where bait is moving with the tide. Speckled trout tend to hold over grass beds, sand pockets, and drop-offs, responding well to both live bait and artificial presentations depending on conditions. Flounder are commonly targeted along sandy edges, channels, and structure transitions where they lie in ambush.
While these three species are the main targets, the Texas bays are full of variety, and it is not uncommon to encounter jack crevalle, black drum, sheepshead, ladyfish, triple tail, and even the occasional small shark. This mix keeps every trip unpredictable and exciting, with each stop on the water offering the potential for something different.
