JR's Fishing Guide Service

JR is a proud husband, father, Pop Pop, and longtime Kingsland local who has called the Texas Hill Country home since 2008. After years spent coaching basketball and mentoring young athletes, he traded the hardwood for the water—where he’s always felt most at peace.

Fishing has been JR’s lifelong passion, and for the past eight years he’s turned that passion into guiding others. Whether he’s helping a first‑timer learn the basics or coaching his grandson’s fishing team—something he had the joy of doing this past year—JR brings patience, heart, and decades of experience to every trip.

You’ll find him most days on Lakes Buchanan, LBJ, and Travis, where he’s spent countless hours studying the water, chasing bass, and competing in tournaments. Over the years, he’s participated in and won numerous fishing competitions, but what matters most to him is sharing the joy of a good catch and a good story.
