How did you get started guiding?
I began guiding during my senior year of college after working in the charter fishing industry for the previous 6 years. I always felt a deep connection to guiding and the satisfaction of taking someone out to catch their first fish or their one millionth.
What makes you different from other guides?
The difference between me and other guides is that I put a strong emphasis in teaching and explaining what we are doing while we are fishing. Most fish require different strategies to target them specifically and I enjoy not only catching quality fish but to also teach as well. The extra guidance and explanations help to connect my clients to the fish they have caught and understand the value in their catch.

About Your Trip

Your fishing trip will be guided by Capt. Jonathan who is a native of Jacksonville, Florida and has been living and learning the waters of the area for his entire life. After graduating high school I (Capt. Jon) immediately got a job as a mate working deep sea fishing charters while attending the University of North Florida. After years of hard work I obtained my 100ton Captain License and have now moved on to run my own inshore/nearshore fishing charters.

I offer 4 and 6 hour trips that I diligently plan for to showcase the amazing fishery here in North Florida. When fishing with me the trips include all the tackle, bait, and licenses needed. Whether you are looking to fly fish for Redfish, fill a cooler with Flounder, or chase migrating Tarpon along the beach I can do it all. I’ve been fortunate to learn from some of the best fisherman in Jacksonville and will put the maximum effort into each trip to ensure safety and quality guided trips. Folks of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to come experience our beautiful waterways as we chase fish for the day.
