Captain Jay was born in south Florida and raised along the waters of Biscayne Bay and the Florida Keys. Born from generations of commercial fishermen, Captain Jay quickly realized that we should not only turn to the sea as a means to harvest food but also cherish and be grateful for all she has to offer. At an early age Captain Jay realized that he wanted to share his love for the sea with everyone he met. His passion for all things salty led him to numerous journeys all over south Florida to include the offshore waters off greater Miami and the Florida Keys as well as the back country estuaries of the glorious Florida Everglades, Flamingo, Chokoloskee and the magnificent Ten Thousand Islands. Before long, Captain Jay was spending his time teaching friends how to free dive the reefs, hunt for pelagic fish offshore and fish the flats for serious trophy fish.

Hop on board with Captain Jay and prepare for an action-packed day of fishing the flats! Cape Coral is world famous for its fishing, and its hundreds of miles of canals make for an ideal spot to do some productive fly fishing. Captain Jay is happy to demonstrate proper fundamentals for this technique to newcomers, or to provide experienced fly fishers with some expert tips. Captain Jay fishes aboard a 23' Aquasport bay boat, equipped with a GPS, Fishfinder, Live Bait Well, and an Ice Box to store your catches. "Captain Jay is an awesome fishing guide and extremely knowledgeable with not only the fishing but also the local wildlife. We did the 3/4 day and wish we would have done the full day with him, he is great and an extremely fun time! This is our first time to Fort Myers Beach, but I guarantee we will never fish with anyone else. We absolutely recommend Captain Jay!! He is a must experience!"

"My friends and I enjoyed a wonderful day exploring with Capt. Jay. We had lunch at Crabby Beach, and took a dip near an out of way beach and found some wonderful sea shells. Overall relaxing fun day. Jay is very nice and knowledgeable about the area. I've been fishing with him also. He does his best to make it a great fishing experience. You will differently catch something on your trip."

"Wow just Wow! My friend and I had a great experience with Captain Jay! We did inshore and had a blast. I have my boat in NJ and am a fishing freak. After talking to Jay, I knew not only would we catch (important) and we did, but would be in great hands showing us the backwater grounds. We loved it. What an awesome and welcoming guy. We caught reds, snook, and jacks. Don't hesitate to book Capt Jay. He has been running these waters for over 19 years."

It was an amazing trip. Capt Jay was very friendly and knowledgeable of the waters and where the fish would be. I would recommend him to anyone. We had a great time and can’t wait to book with him again.

Fishing

Captain Jay is personable, knowledgeable and fun. The fishing wasn’t great, but the conditions were not the best. We caught several species, and actually caught a lot of fish. Despite the less than stellar conditions, he did put us on fish and we had a great time. He did everything except pull the fish to the boat. If it had been up to him, I would not have baited a single hook because he was always there to do it. LOL. Hope to out with Captain Jay again next week.

My wife and I can’s say enough great things about Captain Jay. We had an amazing day on the water and caught just about every species he targeted for us. Captain Jay makes you feel comfortable and like part of his family. He is helpful, knowledgeable, safe and has all the top gear you could ask for. It is obvious that he is passionate about what he does and he is committed to making sure his charter guests have fun and enjoy themselves and experience all that south Florida has to offer on the water. Thank you Captain Jay for a great time and we will be long time customers for sure!
