About Your Trip
Get out on the waters of Lake Michigan with Captain Micah for a relaxed, family-friendly fishing experience targeting some of the Great Lakes’ most sought-after species. Running trips from May through October out of Manistee, these charters are designed for anglers of all ages and experience levels — from first-timers to seasoned fishermen looking to spend quality time on the water.
Morning and evening half-day trips are available, giving guests the opportunity to fish some
of Lake Michigan’s most productive windows throughout the day.
Depending on the season and conditions, potential catches include Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Steelhead (Rainbow Trout), Lake Trout, and other seasonal Great Lakes species. Trips primarily focus on trolling techniques using both light and heavy tackle while covering productive water offshore.
You’ll fish aboard our 36’ Trojan, a spacious sportfishing vessel with an oversized 14-foot beam offering plenty of room for up to 6 passengers. The boat is equipped with downriggers, a fighting chair, restroom facilities, comfortable seating, storage space, and all the equipment needed for a productive and enjoyable day on the water. The vessel is also wheelchair accessible, helping make these trips welcoming and approachable for a wide range of guests.
All rods, reels, tackle, bait, lures, and fishing gear are included with the trip. At the end of the day, Captain Micah and crew will clean, bag, and prepare your catch for you to take home.
Guests are welcome to bring along snacks, drinks, and anything else they’d like to enjoy while out on the lake. The only thing you’ll need before the trip is a valid Michigan fishing license.
