Head out for some fast and furious early-morning action chasing Wood Ducks on Lake Livingston! Your guide and outfitter, Kirk, will provide all the scouting, decoys, transportation, blind setups, and calling for your morning hunt. Unlike diving ducks and puddle ducks, Wood Ducks move on a much more consistent schedule and they don't dally. Between first light and sunrise, big flocks move from the roost site to their food source, all at once. If you're hitting your marks, you can have a very efficient morning hunt! Lake Livingston attracts many species of puddle and diving ducks. Wood Ducks and Mallards, are the most sought-after here. They prefer backwater habitats, especially the sloughs and oxbows common in this area. Kirk has been hunting this lake for years and has the perfect honey holes and set ups, coupled with proper scouting, to get you plenty of shots on the Woodys. Thermal trips are typically structured as “spot and stalk” type hunts that start just after sundown. Over four hours, we cover both low fence and hunting preserve properties during the night while scanning with thermal and night vision devices. Your guide will provide all the equipment needed for your hunt including AR-STYLE RIFLES, THERMALS, SHOOTING STICKS, SUPPRESSORS, and AMMUNITION. These hunts are great for young hunters as well. The difficulty of the hunt can be adjusted based on the group. Your guide can recommend clothing, footwear, and optional accessories when you schedule your hunt. The wetlands here draw several species of waterfowl, including Teal, Gadwall, Widgeon, Pintail, and more, all of which you can target on this trip with your outfitter, Andy He provides portable blinds and all the decoys you'll need, so all you need to bring is your camoflauge, your waders, and your boots, plus guns and shells. You'll get out there before dawn, and hunt until 11 o'clock or thereabouts, so you can even be home for lunch! You can do your best to harvest every hog you see in this safari-style hunt. We will drive through the darkness in hunting vehicles as we search for wild hogs with our thermal optics. As soon as we spot the hogs, the stalk is on and you can do your best to harvest as many as possible. We hunt large free range ranches as well as fenced hunting preserves. A minimum of two hunters is required, and our team recommends hunting for at least two nights so that you can get plenty of time in the field. Read More

Price includes 1 hog per person per night. Additional hogs can be harvested for 100$ per hog. This is the perfect package for larger groups, each hunter can harvest one hog per night. You will ride our hunting vehicles and drive through the darkness searching for wild hogs with our thermal optics. Once the hogs are spotted, the stalk is on. We hunt large private ranches as well as fenced hunting preserves. We require a minimum of two hunters and highly recommend hunting at least two nights to get plenty of time in the field. Read More
