Head out with Captain Kaleb for an epic day of inshore fishing as you explore the Wando River and the surrounding saltwater rivers....Read More
Aboard Captain Kaleb's 22' Ranger you can expect to use a variety of live baits and a combination of different fishing techniques like using bottom rigs, popping corks, and a few other tricks Captain Kaleb can't disclose on the interwebs (He doesn't want to give away all his secrets!)
Whether you choose a 4 hour, 6 hour, or full-day 8 hour trip, you can expect to target Redfish, Flounder, Blackdrum, and Trout as you explore the beautiful tidal marshes and backwater rivers. Longer trips give you exponentially better odds at catching both more and bigger fish.
Captain Kaleb will provide all you need for a great day of fishing the tidal creeks and bay area of the Charleston waterways including all the tackle, bait, coolers, ice, water, fishing licenses, and safety equipment. Everything you could possibly need for a safe, enjoyable, and successful adventure. He will also clean and bag you catch for you at the end of the day.
All he recommends you bring is your weather-appropriate clothing, sunscreen, non-marking shoes, snacks, personal beverages (Alcohol is allowed but no glass please).
Captain Kaleb is the only one in his family who became a professional captain. However, his granddad was a life long fisherman and taught Captain Kaleb a great deal about fishing from a very young age. It is no wonder then that fishing makes Captain Kaleb feel the most connected to his late mentor. He knows how proud his granddad would be to see the career he has made from the common love of fishing that they shared....Read More
As you are probably aware there are many tactics and techniques used in the sport of fishing. Captain Kaleb has now been fishing for over 25 years and has been fishing the Charleston waters for 10 years. He is an expert on where the fish are biting and will have you on them in no time! He caught his first fish when he was four years old and still has the mounting ( a big 6 incher ). He loves navigating the weather and water in order to find and outsmart the fish. You’ll enjoy trying various combinations of bait and tackle to catch just the right fish.

Had a blast fishing with Captain Kaleb. Wifey claims to have outfished me since she pulled in a nice 35+ inch redfish. In all we landed trout, flounder, redfish, sting ray, whiting and black drum. For added diversity I pulled a rock and oyster clump into the boat. Captain Kaleb ...Read More is super personable and helped us Wisconsinites learn the ropes of fishing the SC tidal waters. During slack tide we even got to help get some fresh shrimp in the boat. Great trip and great time of year to be on the water. I highly recommend fishing with him and when we get a chance to return we will look to book again.

We came to Mt. Pleasant on a business trip and of course had to sneak in a play day (or maybe two). Booked with Capt. Kaleb for an afternoon. He was a great communicator and responded to my texts quickly. Haven’t fished saltwater since I was a kid and this ...Read More excursion didn’t disappoint!!! It was already fun cruising around the Wando, but then we hit a few honey holes and were landing fish right and left. Capt. Kaleb was super-friendly from the beginning and didn’t make us feel stupid for asking questions (or my casting sooooo poorly, lol). He was crazy smart about all things fishing and so laid-back, by the end of the afternoon, we had made a new friend. Looking forward to bringing the fam back for an afternoon of fishing and fun with Capt. Kaleb! Thanks so much for a great day!

I booked with Capt Kaleb to go out with my two friends in Mount Pleasant. To make a long story short my flight was canceled, twice, so I couldn’t make it but I kept the excursion scheduled for my friends eventhough I couldn’t make it - because I ...Read More heard a voice whisper “ If you don’t cancel The Bull Reds will come”. That voice was not kidding. They were extremely impressed with Capt Kaleb and caught massive bulls all day long. Next time I will plan to arrive a couple days in advance and Capt Kaleb will have to duplicate their experience for me!

Fantastic experience with Captain Kaleb. He was getting ready to welcome a new family member to the world in the next day but somehow he kept focused on our trip. For the first part of the day he got us on the fish quick. It was basically one cast one ...Read More catch. Is it possible to catch too many fish? Then moved to a new spot for the second half of the trip and started catching some monsters. Great experience with a great Captain. We will definitely be back for another experience. And congrats on the new addition to the family Captain Kaleb. Hope everyone is doing well.
