Ander aka Bassquatch offers guided bass fishing trips for Texas Black Bass. Fly around Lake Travis, Walter E. Long, Lake LBJ, Town Lake, and a host of other Texas lakes aboard Ander's 19' 2016 Nitro Z18 bass boat. Ander's Nitro is complete with Humminbird & Garmin electronics so you can stay on the Largemouth Bass, Guadalupe Bass, and other freshwater species of Central Texas. Ander even runs a Hydrowave unit to help stimulate nearby bass and baitfish into a feeding frenzy!
Bassquatch was born in San Francisco and grew up fishing in California and Utah. He and his wife moved to Texas over 12 years ago and absolute love living (and fishing) in the greater Austin area.
Bassquatch usually targets Texas Black Bass aka Largemouth Bass but will take advantage when conditions offer up Catfish, Panfish, Striped Bass, White Bass, or Hybrids (White Bass x Striped Bass). These Bassquatch trips are typically catch and release but you can keep your catch within state regulations (although Ander does not offer fish cleaning services).
With over 16 years of tournament experience, Bassquatch is a wealth of knowledge for all skill levels and readily offers tips and techniques to anglers looking to improve.
While you're more than welcome to bring your own fishing equipment, Ander provides Ardent rods and reels and P-Line fishing line for anglers to enjoy on his Bassquatch trips.

My dad and I basically had the fishing trip of our lives. At 84 years old my dad has been fishing all his life. On our two-day guided fishing trip Ander got my dad onto the largest bass he has ever caught, 8 lbs 11 oz. What more can you ask for? I learned a lot more on this trip than I expected. Ander drives a brand-new bass boat with all the latest electronics. He walked us through all the new gizmos, showed us how they worked and told us which ones he thought were worth the money. Ander didn’t stop there. I learned about the latest rods, reels, Teflon covered braided filament, hooks, soft baits and fishing techniques. A fishing trip we will talk about for the rest of our lives. Thanks Ander.

perfect conditions early december 2019. we were supplied by Ander with all the right gear to catch fish. Ander showed us exactly where to drop our lines to get the bites, threading the needle between the docks! truly a trip we’ll cherish and look forward to doing again . the thrill of the boat ride was worth the price of admission! skimming across the lake at 55+ mph.

Recommended packing
Appropriate clothes for the season. DO NOT underestimate how cold it can be in the mornings on the water. Make sure to check the hourly forecast to see what the temps will be throughout our trip. If you are traveling here to Austin for your trip anytime from October - March, pack some heavy winter clothing just in case. Even in October and March, while it is unlikely, occasionally we see temperatures in the 30s. Rain gear if the weather forecast warrants it, sunglasses (preferably with polarized lenses, if possible), food/snacks, camera, sunscreen, bug repellent. I will provide plenty of cold, bottled waters.
