About Your Trip

If you want to experience real deal deep-sea fishing, Captain Steve Howard is your guy! This trip is 30 hours out on the water with lines in the water the hole time! You will leave the dock at the Freeport Marina around 6am and book it out 100 miles offshore where the water is between 90-200 feet deep.

You can expect to encounter some crazy specimens at these depths. Thus you'll be using heavy tackle to bring in the large snapper, 50 lb Gag & Black Grouper, big tuna, blue marlin, sailfish, swordfish and wahoo to name a few. Just let Capt. Steve know if there is a species you wish to target and he will put his 30 years of experience to work to make it happen.

Though you can catch them while the sun is up, most of these monster specimens like to feed at night which is why it is advantageous to stay overnight! Equipped with a restroom, a cushioned lounging area, and plenty of shade, Capt. Steve's 36' Cape Horn sportfisher is the perfect vessel to hangout on while you wait to reel in your next catch as well.

After you've caught your fill, you will return back to the dock around 12pm following day. Captain Steve will fillet your catch and send you on your way with an experience you wont soon forget!

Captain Steve will provide everything you need to get you started on the right foot. Steve and crew offer, rods, reels, bait, tackle, and water. Meals for your trip can be coordinated with Capt. Steve in the days leading up to your trip, so all you will need to bring is your sunscreen, hat, sunglasses and please do not forget a one day Texas fishing license.

10%-15% gratuity tips are not required but appreciated
