Join Captain Shane at 6 a.m. for a morning excursion in the Galveston Bay. You'll be targeting speckled trout, redfish, and flounder, making it a great trip for a serious trophy trout hunter or for somebody just looking to bring in a whole mess of fish . The Bay trips consist of either wade fishing shorelines or drift fishing over oyster beds and only artificial bait will be used.
Captain Shane will provide the boat, ice for drinks and fish, rods and reels upon request, and all baits. All you need is a Texas Fishing License with Saltwater Stamp and any sun protection and snacks you may want out on the boat. You will need to bring along waders if you plan on wade fishing.
Captain Shane Day grew up on West Galveston Bay and has been fishing the nearby bays, marshes, and gulf for over 30 years. This experience coupled with his extensive knowledge of the seasons, tides, and bottom structure will help point you in the right direction to find fish. You just gotta be able to reel 'em in! Capt. Shane prides himself in being both professional and personable and strives to provide all of his passengers with an unforgettable experience.
Capt. Shane will take you out on his 22' Boston Whaler Outrage. The boat is powered by a 200 HP Yamaha engine and equipped with Garmin electronics and a Motorguide trolling motor. He's also got a T-top for shade in the summer time.
