About Your Trip

South Florida's freshwater canals and lakes hold some of the most unusual fishing in the country, and George puts you on one of the most unique targets available: the clown knifefish. Originally from Southeast Asia and introduced through the aquarium trade, this distinctive species has established itself in South Florida's waterways and offers an experience unlike anything else in freshwater fishing.

The clown knifefish is the headliner, but the fishery around Delray Beach runs deep.
Peacock bass are a legitimate secondary target and a prized catch in their own right, hard fighting and visually striking in a way that makes them a bucket list species for many freshwater anglers. Between the two, along with the variety of other species that inhabit these waters, there's plenty to keep things interesting throughout the day.

George fishes live bait and artificials depending on what's producing and what his clients prefer, with fly fishing, light tackle, bottom fishing, and conventional approaches all available. The outing is built around what you want to do on the water, making it accessible for beginners and engaging for experienced anglers looking to add something genuinely different to their fishing resume.

The 12-foot bay boat keeps things intimate and maneuverable, well suited for working the canals and lake structure where these fish live. With a two-person maximum, every trip is a personal experience with George's full attention on finding fish and putting you on them.

Trips run four to eight hours, giving you the flexibility to choose a duration that fits your schedule. Book a trip with George out of Delray Beach and chase one of South Florida's most unusual gamefish.
