Originally designed by Ray Hunt and Richard Bertram as an open-ocean race hull, the 31 Bertram quickly became a gold standard in the sportfishing world—and this particular vessel is among the finest examples out there. After a complete custom refit by Rybovich, she now boasts new Cummins power, a full electronics suite, a Bausch-American marlin tower with a second station, and top-tier fishing gear. The attention to detail is unmatched, making this one of Tamarindo’s most meticulously maintained and well-outfitted boats on the water.

From the flybridge with Palm Beach helm controls to the Murray Brothers fighting chair in the cockpit, everything about this boat is designed for serious offshore fishing. Outriggers with teasers, autopilot, Furuno NavNet 3D radar and navigation, twin VHF radios, and a full USCG-approved safety package ensure you’re fully equipped and comfortable for a full day of chasing pelagic giants. The spacious interior features a comfortable v-berth, a private restroom, and a sound system with iPhone/Android input so you can keep the vibes going while waiting on the next strike.

¾ Day & Full Day Fishing

These offshore charters take you to the deep blue where Costa Rica’s most prized gamefish roam. Depending on the season and conditions, you'll be targeting yellowfin tuna, mahi mahi, sailfish, marlin, and wahoo. With a high cruising speed, sharp rigging, and an experienced crew, you'll spend more time fishing and less time getting there.

Included Onboard

Each trip includes fresh fruit, snacks, bottled water, soda, and beer to keep you fueled and refreshed. Sandwiches are included on all ¾ and full day trips. Want to level up the experience? With proper notice, wine, champagne, and specialty drinks can be added to your charter.

What to Bring

Pack sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, comfortable clothing, a rain jacket, towel, camera, and any personal items you may need. The boat has a premium sound system, so bring your favorite playlist (Bluetooth/iPhone/Android ready) and enjoy your time between bites.

A Costa Rica sportfishing license is required for all anglers and must be purchased online before your trip.

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
This trip is managed by an outfitter. Lee will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
