Lobster season in the Florida Keys is a tradition unlike anything else on the water, and Captain Ben gives you a real shot at it on this trip out of Key West. Running during the regular lobster season from August 6th through March 31st, this outing takes you to Ben's favorite spots around Key West to dive for your own dinner, with a cooler waiting on deck for whatever you bring up.

This isn't easy fishing, and that's part of the appeal. Hunting lobster requires getting in the water, searching structure and ledges, and working to bag your catch by hand, a hands-on process that feels worlds apart from a typical day of rod and reel fishing. Whether you're an experienced diver who's done this before or completely new to the hunt, Captain Ben guides you through the process from start to finish, sharing technique and local knowledge that comes from working these waters regularly.

Lobster trips can also be added on to a spearfishing trip during the season, giving you the option to combine two of the Keys' most rewarding in-water pursuits into a single outing if you want to make the most of your time on the water.

The 25-foot center console is a solid, capable platform for getting to Key West's productive lobster grounds efficiently, with the maneuverability to work multiple spots throughout the trip. Trips run four to eight hours, giving you flexibility to choose a duration that fits your schedule and how much time you want to spend in the water.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
