About Your Trip

The inshore waters around Folly Beach offer some of the most consistent fishing on the South Carolina coast, and Captain Michael puts you right in the middle of it on this three to six hour trip. Redfish, speckled trout, flounder, sharks, and tarpon are all on the target list, giving this outing genuine variety across multiple species and seasonal opportunities throughout the year.

Redfish are the backbone of this fishery, present and catchable year-round in
sizes ranging from slot fish to oversized bulls pushing 45 inches. Speckled trout are also available across all seasons, with fall bringing the best opportunity for consistent numbers as fish stack up ahead of cooler water. Tarpon make their presence known in late summer into early fall during the mullet run, one of the most exciting seasonal events in inshore fishing and a legitimate reason to time a trip around that window if you have the flexibility.

Captain Michael knows this water and fishes it hard on every trip, adjusting the approach based on what species are most active and where conditions are putting fish. The three to six hour format gives you flexibility on duration while still leaving enough time on the water to work multiple spots and let the bite develop.

The 26-foot Pathfinder center console is a capable and comfortable inshore platform, equipped with a live bait well, wireless trolling motor, GPS, fishfinder, and radar. An onboard restroom keeps the trip comfortable regardless of how long you choose to stay out.

This is Captain Michael's most popular trip for good reason, and the calendar fills up quickly. Book your inshore trip out of Folly Beach sooner rather than later and get on some of the best redfish and trout water the Lowcountry has to offer.
