About Your Trip

Ready to experience the untouched beauty of the South Carolina coast? Join Captain Scott for a Barrier Island Exploration and Shelling adventure—your chance to slow down, unplug, and discover the wild, natural side of the Lowcountry.

Departing from a remote boat launch on either St. Helena Island or Hunting Island (just a scenic 20-minute drive from downtown Beaufort), this tour takes you deep into the barrier islands that protect our coastline. These pristine islands are
only accessible by boat—and Captain Scott knows just where to go for the best beaches, the richest shell beds, and the quietest stretches of shoreline.

Whether you opt for the 2-hour or 4-hour option, this trip is all about immersing yourself in the raw beauty of the Lowcountry. You’ll walk along secluded beaches, search for seashell treasures, and maybe even spot dolphins cruising the surf or shorebirds feeding in the shallows. With no roads, no crowds, and nothing but the sound of the wind and waves, it’s a true escape into nature.

Each tour is custom-tailored to your group’s interests and the tides of the day. Want to spend more time beachcombing? Interested in learning about marsh ecology? Curious about local wildlife or coastal history? Just let Captain Scott know—he builds each trip around your curiosities and comfort.

You’ll ride in style aboard a wide and stable 17’ Key Largo center console, a vessel designed to handle both open water and shallow back creeks with ease. With room for up to four guests, this small-group tour is private and personal—just you, your group, and the Lowcountry wilderness.
