About Your Trip

Join Captain James for an unforgettable day on Washington’s scenic Snohomish River, chasing hard-fighting Pink Salmon and more in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. With over 30 years of experience fishing the local waters, Captain James brings a lifetime of knowledge, patience, and passion to every trip—making this the perfect adventure for anglers of all levels.

These trips run morning and afternoon during peak Pink Salmon season. Times and trip lengths vary to match
the best bite windows, and Captain James stays flexible to keep you in the action.

What You’re Fishing For:

While the highlight of the season is the aggressive, fast-biting Pink Salmon, the Snohomish River is also home to a variety of exciting freshwater and inshore targets. Depending on timing and conditions, you could also hook into:

- Chinook, Coho, Sockeye, and Chum Salmon
- Cutthroat Trout & Rainbow Trout (Steelhead)
- Yellow Perch
- Even the occasional Sturgeon for those looking for a big tug

Techniques & Approach:

You’ll be using light tackle and trolling techniques, tailored for river fishing and designed to maximize your chances at landing fish throughout the trip. Whether it’s your first time with a rod or you’ve been fishing for years, Captain James will walk you through everything and keep you dialed in.

Your Ride:

Fish aboard a clean, stable 24’ Alumaweld sportfishing boat, powered by a 250HP Yamaha engine. With a cruising speed of up to 40 knots, this rig gets you to the best spots quickly and comfortably. The boat is fully equipped with GPS, fishfinder, and all the safety gear and space you need for a smooth, productive day on the water.

What’s Included:

Captain James provides everything you need to fish, including:

- Rods, reels & tackle
- Lures (no live bait—just proven artificials)
- Catch cleaning and filleting included at the end of your trip
- Just bring your weather-appropriate gear, snacks, drinks, and a valid Washington fishing license.

For Captain James, guiding is about more than just catching fish—it's about sharing the joy of the outdoors, the excitement of a bent rod, and the beauty of Washington’s river systems. Whether you’re after your first salmon or adding another species to your list, this trip offers a chance to connect with the water—and walk away with stories that’ll stick.

Captain James has been hooked on fishing since day one. Growing up casting lines alongside his father and grandfather in the Puget Sound, he turned childhood outings into a lifelong obsession. By the time he could ride a bike, he was pedaling to nearby lakes and rivers with a rod in hand—and once he got his license, he was chasing fish every chance he could get.

With over 30 years of experience on the water, James brings serious skill, unmatched
local knowledge, and a deep love for the sport to every trip. After years of fishing nearly every day, guiding was the natural next step.
