Whether you're a seasoned catfish angler or just looking to try something new, this trip offers the perfect mix of laid-back fun and rod-bending action.

Captain Homad is a fourth-generation fisherman who knows every bend, drop-off, and deep hole along the Coosa. With his expert guidance, you’ll have the chance to hook into Channel Catfish, Flathead Catfish, and massive Blue Cats—some tipping the scales at over 50 pounds! You’ll be fishing with proven rigs and bait setups that these river monsters just can’t resist.

Depending on the season and the bite, Captain Homad might have you drifting cut bait for big blues, anchoring near submerged structure for flatheads, or bouncing baits along the bottom for channels. Techniques like Santee-Cooper rigs and bottom bouncing are commonly used, and if the fish are feeding at night, you might even break out the glow sticks!

All rods, reels, tackle, and bait are provided, so there’s no need to bring anything but your favorite snacks, drinks, and a sense of adventure. The trip is great for two guests, making it a perfect outing for friends or family looking to spend a day on the water. Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
