About Your Trip

If you’re after the kind of bite that stops you in your tracks, Luis and his experienced team of guides specialize in just that—the aggression bite. Whether you’re swinging flies with a spey rod or working spoons through holding water, these guided trips are designed to connect you with Salmon and Steelhead in some of Washington’s most iconic rivers.

You’ll fish renowned systems like the Skagit, Hoh, Bogachiel, Sol Duc, Calawah, and others across the
Olympic Peninsula, as well as Puget Sound tributaries. These rivers are home to a mix of hatchery and wild fish, and the team knows how to adapt to conditions and fish behavior to give you the best chance at success.

Trips are fully tailored to your preferences, whether you're fly fishing (single or two-handed) or using gear. The guides have deep experience helping fish commit to the bite, and they’ll work closely with you to refine your presentation, read water, and cover ground effectively.

Depending on the river and conditions, you’ll fish from a drift boat, raft, or jet-powered vessel—all chosen to best access productive water. Captains operating powerboats are USCG licensed and trained, ensuring a safe, professional experience on every trip.

All rods, tackle, and flies are included, whether you’re casting gear or fly. Hardware trips come with five lures, and additional sets can be purchased as needed. You're also welcome to bring your favorite rod if you prefer fishing with your own setup.

Just bring your Washington State fishing license with the proper endorsements, weather-appropriate clothing, waders, boots, and the right mindset to chase powerful fish in beautiful water.

With Luis and his team, it’s not just about the catch—it’s about the chase, the connection to the water, and the thrill of a true Pacific Northwest river experience.

Independent Guide
My name is Luis, I am 100GT USCG licensed and certified to operate powered vessels. I grew up fishing the Puget Sound Rivers and the Olympic Peninsula. I started out at a young age with my father fishing many local Seattle area hatchery zones and discovered there was so much more to explore in Washington. As I grew older I found that there are so many different ways to be an efficient angler. Growing up on the river I loved watching the more successful fishermen and wanted to acquire the skills they presented. It made me want to better my skills to where I am today. Many years and a lot of time spent on the water, I found the the "Aggression bite" was my favorite way to catch river bound fish. I made it my ultimate task to fine tune the techniques that one could do to present the chosen methods to make this happen. I fish a wide range of techniques and love to teach others to be successful in these ways.
