About Your Trip

Experience the Exumas with Captain Sheldon on a full-day private island-hopping adventure designed to explore some of the Bahamas' most recognizable destinations. Departing at 7:00 AM, you'll spend the day cruising across the Exumas' turquoise waters, traveling as far as Staniel Cay while visiting a collection of islands, beaches, and marine attractions along the way.

Throughout the day, you'll have the opportunity to visit several locations that have made the Exumas a popular destination for boaters. Depending on the itinerary and conditions, stops may include the famous Thunderball Grotto, an underwater cave system known for its clear water and limestone formations, Big Major Cay, home to the well-known swimming pigs, and Allen's Cay, where you'll find the island's population of rock iguanas. You can also visit Compass Cay to see the resident nurse sharks (please note that Compass Cay charges a separate admission fee).

The trip also includes a stop at Pablo Escobar's plane wreck near Norman's Cay, along with opportunities to swim or snorkel in protected waters, spend time on quiet beaches, or relax on the Exumas' white sandbars. With several destinations spread throughout the island chain, the day offers a chance to experience different sides of the Exumas, from open-water cruising to time ashore.

You'll travel aboard Captain Sheldon's 34' center console, a comfortable boat with plenty of space to relax as you cruise between islands. The private charter allows your group to enjoy the day at a comfortable pace while moving between destinations without sharing the boat with other guests.

This trip is suitable for guests of all experience levels, making it a good option for families, couples, groups of friends, or anyone looking to explore the Exumas from the water.

Everything you need for the trip is included. We recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, swimwear, towels, and any other personal items you'd like to have with you during the day.

Lunch is not provided, so please bring any food, snacks, and drinks you'd like to enjoy onboard. Beer is welcome as long as it's in cans—no glass containers, please. If you'd like to stop for a meal, Captain Sheldon can also take you to Xuma Restaurant on Highbourne Cay, where food and drinks are available for purchase.

This private charter provides the flexibility to experience the Exumas by boat while visiting several of the area's best-known destinations in a single day. Whether you're interested in snorkeling, wildlife, sightseeing, or simply spending time on the water, Captain Sheldon will tailor the route to the day's conditions and your group's interests.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Sheldon and his mate Jake were fantastic! They picked us up on Harbour Island and we cruised over towards Spanish Wells to dive a few traps for lobsters. We had 11 guys and they made sure we were all situated on the boat comfortably - we had plenty of room to lounge when we weren't diving. The spots ranged from 18 feet at the most to 6 feet at the shallowest and our group of rookies had no problem diving down and spearing some lobsters with slings (although it might have helped if we could hold our breath longer!). We hit 6 traps and one in particular had a ton of lobsters so we caught more than enough for a great lunch at Valentine's Marina after getting back. Thank y'all again!
