About Your Trip

Spend the day on Normandy Lake with Captain Ryan on a one-on-one LiveScope Crappie trip designed to help you become more comfortable using forward-facing sonar while targeting Blacknose Crappie.

Throughout the trip, Captain Ryan will walk you through the fundamentals of fishing with Garmin LiveScope, including how to adjust your electronics, interpret what you're seeing on the screen, and present baits to individual fish. You'll also discuss bait selection and different approaches for fishing a variety of conditions, giving you practical knowledge that you can apply on future trips.

You'll fish aboard Captain Ryan's 21' bass boat, a platform well suited for covering water and positioning on productive crappie habitat. This trip welcomes anglers of all experience levels, from those using LiveScope for the first time to fishermen looking to refine their approach. Young anglers are welcome aboard, making this a good option for parents who want to introduce a child to crappie fishing while learning alongside them.

Everything you need for the fishing is included. We recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any other personal items you'd like for the day. Lunch is not provided, so please bring any food and drinks you'd like to have on the water.

Trips are available with 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM departure times, allowing you to choose the start time that works best for your schedule.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
