Experience the best of Key West fishing on a private offshore charter with Captain Joel. Whether you're chasing trophy pelagics or looking to reel in fresh snapper for dinner, these trips are designed to meet your goals and adapt to the bite, weather, and time of year. You'll fish offshore, along the reef, or even near wrecks and inshore waters depending on your preferences and conditions.

Every trip is fully equipped with top-of-the-line rods, reels, bait, tackle, and licenses. Your catch will be cleaned and bagged at the end of the day, so all you need to bring is food, drinks, sun protection, and a cooler if you plan to take fish home. The boat features an enclosed marine head, live bait well, outriggers, and a comfortable deck for fishing or relaxing. A skilled first mate is always onboard to help with everything from rigging to reeling.

Trip Options

4-Hour Trip (AM or PM)

A great introduction to Key West fishing. This trip focuses on the reef and nearby waters for a fun, hands-on experience ideal for families or those short on time. Depending on conditions, you'll target yellowtail and mutton snapper, black and red grouper, Spanish mackerel, blacktip shark, and cero mackerel.

5-Hour Trip (AM or PM)

With a bit more time, this trip allows for more flexibility. We can stay on the reef or head a little farther offshore depending on what’s biting. Expect a mix of snapper and grouper, plus opportunities for amberjack, cobia, skipjack tuna, bonito, and scamp grouper.

6-Hour Trip (AM or PM)

This is the sweet spot for anglers who want variety. You’ll have enough time to head offshore, hit a wreck, and swing back by the reef. Target species may include mahi-mahi, sailfish, wahoo, mutton snapper, red and black grouper, Spanish mackerel, and scamp grouper.

8-Hour Trip

Our most popular full-day charter offers the time and range to cover offshore grounds and fish multiple techniques. We might troll for pelagics, bottom-fish on the reef, or deep-drop when the bite’s on. Fish species commonly caught include mahi-mahi, sailfish, blackfin tuna, wahoo, mutton and yellowtail snapper, red and black grouper, and various mackerel.

10-Hour Trip

The ultimate adventure for serious anglers. This extended charter gives you time to run far offshore, deep drop, wreck fish, troll, or do a bit of everything. With this much time, we can truly customize your day around what you want to catch. Target species include mahi-mahi, sailfish, wahoo, blackfin tuna, mutton and yellowtail snapper, red, black, and scamp grouper, Atlantic and cero mackerel, and more.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
