About Your Trip

Travel nearly 70 miles west of Key West with Captain Carl on a private charter to Dry Tortugas National Park, one of the most remote national parks in the United States. Departing at 7:00 AM, this full-day trip gives you plenty of time to explore the park's clear turquoise waters, coral reefs, white sand beaches, and the historic Fort Jefferson at your own pace.

You'll make the journey aboard Captain Carl's 28' catamaran, a stable and comfortable vessel that's well suited for the open-water run to the Dry Tortugas. Along the way, you may spot dolphins, sea turtles, and a variety of seabirds before arriving at this unique island destination.

Once anchored, you're free to spend your time however you'd like. Snorkel over shallow coral reefs, swim in the clear water, walk the beaches, tour Fort Jefferson, or simply relax aboard the boat and enjoy the surroundings.

Captain Carl will provide the boat, safety equipment, and local knowledge throughout the trip. Please bring weather-appropriate clothing, sunscreen, towels, swimsuits, food, and drinks for the day. Beer is welcome as long as it's brought in cans—no glass containers are permitted aboard.

This private charter offers a flexible way to experience Dry Tortugas National Park, whether your group is interested in snorkeling, sightseeing, wildlife viewing, history, or simply spending the day on the water.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 2 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 2 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
