Get ready for a true Great Lakes experience chasing powerful salmon on the open waters of Lake Michigan with Captain Bill out of Manitowoc. These 6- and 8-hour trips are built for serious trolling action and can accommodate up to 6 anglers for a memorable day offshore.

You’ll target hard-fighting salmon using specialized trolling spreads designed for these waters. Conditions on the lake can be 10–20° cooler than on shore, so dressing in layers and bringing rain gear is strongly recommended. Many guests also take motion sickness medication like Dramamine before departure to stay comfortable throughout the trip.

There’s plenty of room in the cabin to store food, drinks, and personal gear. You’re welcome to bring snacks, beverages, and alcohol. After the trip, your catch will be cleaned and bagged for you dockside.

- A cooler with ice for your fillets (leave it in your vehicle until fish cleaning)

Everyone 16 and older must carry a paper copy of a Wisconsin fishing license with the Great Lakes Salmon stamp. A 2-day Great Lakes license is available for residents and non-residents and can be purchased online at the Wisconsin DNR page or at stores like Fleet Farm or Walmart.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
