Spend the day on the Indian Ocean with Captain Suheil and experience firsthand why Mombasa is one of East Africa’s premier big game fishing destinations. Whether you choose a half-day outing or commit to a full day offshore, you’ll be fishing with a seasoned captain and tournament-winning crew who know these waters inside and out.

Depending on the season and conditions, you may target Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Yellowfin and Bigeye Tuna, King Mackerel, Sailfish, several species of Marlin, Giant Trevally, and even Mako Shark. Some days call for trolling the bluewater edges, while others may have you spinning, jigging, popping, or fishing live bait. Captain Suheil adjusts the game plan to match the bite, giving you the best opportunity for a memorable catch.

You’ll fish aboard a 29’ Panga built for serious offshore work, comfortably accommodating up to four anglers. The boat is equipped with outriggers, downriggers, a stainless-steel fighting chair, modern Garmin electronics, and a clean electric toilet for your comfort. Premium Shimano and Penn tackle is provided, including heavy stand-up gear for marlin and tuna, along with spinning setups for more hands-on action. Live bait is included when conditions allow and is coordinated with guests ahead of time.

Your charter includes round-trip pickup and drop-off from your hotel or residence, all rods, reels, tackle, bait, and lures, along with catch cleaning and filleting at no extra cost. Bottled water, soft drinks, and snacks are included, and full-day trips feature a freshly prepared chicken biryani made with authentic spices. A professional first mate will be on board assisting throughout the trip, and gratuity is customary based on your experience.

All you need to bring is non-spray sunscreen, sunglasses, and any additional beverages you’d like (avoiding hard liquor and glass bottles). Fishing license requirements can be confirmed with the captain prior to departure.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Suheil will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
