About Your Trip

oin Captain Morgan for a memorable day fishing the productive waters of the Pacific Northwest. With over 30 years of sportfishing experience, Captain Morgan brings a wealth of local knowledge and a calm, professional approach to every trip. Whether you’re new to fishing or have years of experience, he’ll help guide you through the techniques and put you in the best position for success.

Depending on the season, you may have the opportunity to target
Salmon (Chinook and Coho), Halibut, Lingcod, Rockfish, Crab, and more. These waters support an impressive variety of species throughout the year, and Captain Morgan adjusts the game plan based on conditions and what’s currently biting. He also offers Flounder jigging, a specialized local technique that can be a fun option when conditions allow.

Throughout the trip you may fish using a variety of methods including trolling with downriggers for Salmon, drifting, bottom fishing for Halibut and Lingcod, or light and heavy tackle techniques depending on the target species. Captain Morgan will walk you through the approach and make sure everyone feels comfortable with the gear and techniques being used.

You’ll be fishing aboard a 28’ Northwest pilothouse boat that comfortably accommodates up to 5 passengers. This well-equipped vessel is built for these coastal waters and comes outfitted with GPS, fishfinder, radar, downriggers, and an ice box to keep your catch fresh. There’s also a toilet onboard for added convenience during the trip.

All the essentials are provided, including rods, reels, tackle, and lures. If you bring home keeper fish within regulations, Captain Morgan can clean and fillet your catch at the dock so it’s ready to take home. Having a cooler in the car is recommended for transporting your fish.

Families are welcome aboard, and kids can enjoy the experience as well. Children must wear life vests, so it’s best to confirm ahead of time whether the appropriate sizes are available on the boat. Bringing snacks is always a good idea to keep everyone comfortable throughout the trip.

Complimentary drinks such as bottled water and coffee are available onboard, and you’re welcome to bring along additional snacks or beverages if you’d like. Be sure to pack non-spray sunscreen, sunglasses, and weather-appropriate clothing for your time on the water.

Guests may need to purchase a local fishing license prior to the trip, which is usually available online. Some species may have seasonal restrictions or require specific tags, so it’s worth reviewing the current regulations ahead of time.

Captain Morgan looks forward to welcoming you aboard and sharing his decades of experience on these beautiful coastal waters.

Note: A 5% GST will be added to the final invoice.
