About Your Trip

The half day trip is a 4 hour fishing trip thats great for groups of up to four anglers at any skill level. You’ll fish the inshore sound and inlet waters with a variety of fishing styles depending on what is biting the best that certain day. This trip is fit for those who want a quick, yet productive fishing trip with potential great catches.

The half day trip is designed to target the “best chance” fish at the captains discretion to provide an action packed trip. We fish with live bait, jigs, cut bait, and popping corks during this trip to keep the angler active and the trip interesting.

I am a 4th generation charter fisherman/hunter on the Outer Banks. My family has made their living out of Oregon Inlet, Nc since the 1940s. I have grown up in the waters on the Outer Banks taking fishing charter and hunting charters as well as spending countless hours on the water in my free time.

I started taking charters when I was 18 and after getting a bachelors degree from North Carolina State, decided to continue in the industry. I have completely restored both of the boats in our fleet (20ft privateer and 24 privateer) and custom fit them for the waters around the Outer Banks with a shallow draft but also to handle the heavy chop in the open waters.

I have worked with people my entire childhood into my young adulthood. I am very excited to guide you and your group on a memorable experience in the waters surrounding Roanoke Island all while spreading historical knowledge about the area.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
